1. Age
Due to the mission of this site, you must be 18 years old or older to be a member. We have nothing against younger fans and invite you to return once you are of age. The staff reserves the right to delete the account of anyone found violating this rule.

2. Netiquette - Observe the basic rules of netiquette (12+) at all times.

This means:

A. No defaming other sites or people. It is never permissible to directly slam, flame, or gripe about a specific story, graphic or person.

B. Mass emails or PMs are never permitted.

3. Personal Information
Do not give out sensitive personal information. Obviously, you are an adult and free to make your own choices. However, please be aware that any information you post is subject to being viewed by anyone, anywhere. Don’t feel pressured to share information about yourself just because someone else has.

4. Posts
The content of all posts should be rated no higher than 15+ (special exceptions apply to the personal forum).

All links must be rated. Links that are not rated will be subject to removal.

You may not link to any site that allows or promotes illegal acts. If you are unsure, err on the side of caution.

No NC-17 or above content or links are allowed in this forum. If you wish to exchange links with that rating, please do it via e-mail or PM.

The nature of this board is relaxed and conversational, so there is a bit of wiggle room about what is considered spam. You’re not going to be told off if you make a semi-unrelated comment or accidentally post in the wrong place.

5. Signatures
Your signature may contain graphics no larger than 700 wide x300 tall. This may be split any way that you wish. You may have one 700x300 graphic, or multiple graphics as long as they don’t violate the 700 wide x300 tall maximum. At this time, there is no limit on text, as it auto-wraps, but we ask that you limit it to a reasonable amount: if this proves to be problematic, we will limit text.

6. Politeness
This site’s goal is to be a friendly, accepting, and encouraging community.

Please be polite (even kind) to all members.

7. Site Promotion
We are all for you promoting this site to your friends, loved ones, online acquaintances, etc. If you are referring this site on other forums, please make sure you are following their rules so that it does not reflect badly on this site. If anyone is a banner, blinky, header, button genius, please feel free to let one of us know so that we can decorate this place up!

8. Personal Forum

When you have reached 20 posts and have posted in this rules thread stating that you understand the rules, you are allowed to ask for a personal forum. Make your request here (12+).

Your personal forum is to be used for threads that are about you or your fics/graphics ONLY. Acceptable threads are things like; “Meet Me,” “My Photos,” “My Fictions,” “What I’m Reading Now,” threads about specific fictions or graphics that you have finished or are working on, small snippets of works in progess (but not entire fics, as we are not a fic archive), or a momentous event in your life right now (this would include support threads for pregnancy, medical care, etc). These threads may discuss M rated material as long as they are rated ‘M’ and are for the purpose of discussion of such material. If you have a graphics gallery, that should go in the 'Graphics Artist' sub-forum in 'Graphics Resources.'

Uncacceptable threads are; collaborative stories, rants, gripes or things unrelated to you or your works. By 'collabarative story', we mean a story where one poster starts a story and the next poster continues it. This does not mean collaborations like "Defining Moments" on HPFF or Gluttony or any other site Collaborative stories will only be allowed in the Member Groups Forums (Secret Keepers, DA, Death Eaters, or Quibblers) and as such they are limited to a rating of 15+, just like any other part of the forum. Rants or gripes should be posted in “Off Topic,” and will be closely monitored. If they prove to be problematic, then they will no longer be allowed.


Your personal forum has special rules.

A. You may discuss M-rated subjects in your personal forum, but you will need to label any thread with M-rated subject matter so others know beforehand.

B. While M rated subject matter is okay, language should generally be kept to 15+. Please no F-bombs all over the place.

C. You have the power to delete any post in your personal forum, or to pin/unpin topics. The power to re-open a closed topic or to close a topic has been removed due to abuse.

D. Your personal forum is the place to discuss almost anything you wish about yourself. You may mention your personal beliefs here. We ask that you be respectful to those who may disagree with you.

E. Just as with the rest of the site, NC-17 material or links are not permitted.

F. Although the personal forum gives you freedom to discuss many things, please keep in mind that everyone on the forum can read what you post. Overly personal and/or "iffy" are best discussed via PM and will be removed by the administration.

G. Personal forums that are inactive for over six months will be hidden and can be reactivated by contacting an administrator.

9. The Chatbox

The chatbox is gone. At this point, there are no plans to bring it back. Threads that are set up for chat purposes will be deleted.

10. Your input is always appreciated

PLEASE post in the comments/feedback section if you have anything you think needs to be added to these rules or if you ever have a suggestion or idea about something you would like to see on the site in general. The goal here is to be interactive and beneficial to all within reason. Since we are a relatively new site, we need all the input we can get. If you would rather PM an administrator with your suggestions, feel free to do that as well.

11. Changes to rules

These rules may be changed at any time and without warning.

12. Consequences
The administrator and moderators reserve the right to remove anything (post, link, image, etc) that is against the rules. Persistent, intentional violations of the above rules will result in account deletion.

I've read the rules through and through, looking for the difference since the last time I've read it, which was a day before yesterday...well, I found none, but at least now I'm completely sure I know what's in there. :D And of course I agree. :)

I was not sure regarding links to images. Do we have to rate them too? Before I read these new rules I posted some image links in my thread yesterday and rated them (G)/12+, dunno why I did that. It's probably not necessary esp. in the graphic section, isn't it?
And don't worry, I am rating and will rate any links to any other site. Well, just links to images/graphics...
